Should I do the Disney Dining Plan?

Every family I know that LOVES Disney, has a different view on just about everything that makes the "Perfect Disney Vacation!" And the same is true about the dining plan....everyone has a different reason why they LOVE it, which plan is best, and a few have reasons why they don't use it.

My family LOVES the Disney Dining Plan. Why?

1) Because we can budget every penny that our trip is going to cost ahead of time. I know before I ever leave home how much my vacation will cost. The only money that I need to take to the parks with me is the money we might need for souvenirs and for gratuity at the table service meals.

2) Convenience! Plain and simple, I like to know that if I want a snack, I can simply hand them my Key to the World Card and move on to the next great attraction.

3) Savings!!! As a family with 3 small children, we like to do as many character meals as we can. Those meals are not cheap if you pay out of pocket for them. But with the Disney Dining Plan, we can order whichever entree that we want at the table service meals, and we can do as many character meals as we want. It doesn't cost me any more money. A few restaurants require 2 table service credits, but those just come off my total meal credits and do not cost me any more money.

4) We enjoy eating a meal together, where we can sit down, relax and talk about the day.

5) We like to take advantage of eating at nice restaurants and eating nice meals. Yes, you can save money by eating quick service meals or by choosing the cheapest item on the menu...but our family likes to take this opportunity to eat things that we might not normally order if we were paying per entree.

When it comes to the Disney Dining Plan, there is more than one option! Most likely one of them will fit the needs of your family.    You must add the dining onto a Magic Your Way Vacation Package at Walt Disney World.  This means that you will be staying at a Disney owned and operated resort and that you have purchased at least a 1 day ticket for everyone in your room.
